Our process is designed to guide you every step of the way

1:1 Initial Assessment:

We will:

  • Discuss your goals;

  • Assess your breathing and pelvic floor control;

  • Do specific strength and balance testing;

  • Develop a personalised rehab program tailored to suit you;
    Part of the session also teaches you the basics of the equipment in the pilates studio and we create a specific home program for you to continue working on in between sessions.

Pilates Program Design:

We work with you to develop a specific program that is printed out with images of every exercise. We take our time to design and develop the program and consistently review it to ensure the exercises are appropriate and also challenging.
This printed program helps keep you motivated and gives clarity on what you are doing and what you are going to do next. This makes each session more productive with less down time between exercises.
You can even take a copy home to continue your program in between sessions.

2:1 Duo:

2 people per 1 practitioner pilates sessions

This is a great transition towards joining the Studio groups - we work with you to build your confidence and ability before moving into studio pilates classes.
You will receive a lot of hands on support and corrections to ensure you are feeling confident with your current program. Once we are happy with your technique and awareness, then you can transition into the Studio pilates group sessions.

Studio Sessions:

Small groups of up to 4 people per 1 practitioner to ensure you still get individual hands on attention.
During these sessions you will be working through your own printed program under the close supervision of one of our experienced practitioners to make sure you are working safely and effectively to achieve your goals.
The practitioner will circulate the room, offering corrections where necessary, changing/adapting and progressing exercises where needed and available for help and questions throughout the session.

Cardio Circuit:

Up to 6 participants in a class.

Uses all the equipment with 6 circuits at one time (3 reformer, 1 trap table, 1 wunda chair, 1 Mat). 
Excellent instruction & demonstration with precise adjustments given as required. This class will challenge you, give you that cardio buzz but also ensure you are working in a controlled environment with constant correction to ensure improvement rather than injury and regression.

Strength Training:

Rehab and personalised strength training.

We also have a Strength & Conditioning Coach available to work through your existing gym program. We can correct your technique for work outs at home or at your regular gym to ensure you are not at risk of injury or aggravating an existing injury. Learn more

Sequence Pilates is a welcoming and professional pilates studio based in Torquay on the Surfcoast. Instructed by qualified Osteopaths and Physiotherapist ensure our programs are designed to assist in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Our process is to guide you from initial consultation to small group classes and then if desired into studio pilates sessions, cardio pilates or ongoing strength based training programs.
